Position Overview

The qualified candidate has a background and/or experience in a variety of areas including Digital Asset Management best practices and strategy workflows, Corporate Archiving, Change Management, CPG/Entertainment/Media Sector, Taxonomy Development, Metadata Application, and Content Governance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute DAM initiatives
  • Complete high priority projects with time sensitive deadlines
  • Implement asset workflow enhancements, information governance, and DAM maintenance
  • Migrate assets and metadata from various source repositories like PIM, MAM, etc systems into DAM
  • Support workflow enhancements, policy and procedures documentation
  • Provide research support for both internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • Collaborate with teams to execute standards in content curation, description, governance, access and delivery
  • Utilize application tools to optimize ingest, data cleansing, and quality control
  • Create strategic metadata application templates, workflows, and taxonomy enhancements

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ROI value of metadata and its maintenance
  • Provide maintenance support of established and proven workflows
  • Manage new content acquisitions and normalize metadata
  • Ability to understand and execute user permissions and access

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years working in DAM or related professional experience
  • Degree in Library Information Science, Infomatics, Communication, Marketing, Project Management, Digital Media or related field, or professional experience equivalent
  • Experience processing and ingesting large collections of digital content
  • Skills in developing and creating metadata standards based on industry, DAM, and client access needs
  • Expertise with various rich media content and design software formats
  • Ease in working in fast paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to accelerate SME brand expertise and management
  • Experience assembling business requirements and translating to stakeholders
  • Build relationships with upper management, creative agencies, and departmental entities

Desired Skills

  • Industry experience working with entertainment, CPG, post-production, and design content
  • An understanding of content usage rights, restrictions and licensing
  • Ability to forecast and strategize process, project, and program improvements
  • Experience with DAM enterprise systems like Open Text, MediaBin, and/or Media Beacon
