GUNPOWDER & SKY AND ALLIED VAUGHN PARTNER TO RELEASE THIS SUMMER’S BREAKOUT HIT, HEARTS BEAT LOUD ON DVD / BLU-RAY AND AS AN EXCLUSIVE CD BUNDLE

LOS ANGELES, CA – September 11, 2018 – Gunpowder & Sky, the global content studio, and Allied Vaughn, the Media On Demand distribution company, announced today that they have partnered to release Gunpowder & Sky’s summer hit Hearts Beat Loud on DVD, Blu-Ray, and in a Blu-Ray/CD bundle on September 11. The Blu-ray, featuring a Spotify soundtrack code, and DVD will be available at e-commerce retail locations including Walmart.com, Target.com, Bestbuy.com, Amazon.com and through Netflix. The Blu-Ray/CD bundle will be exclusively available on Walmart.com, marking the first-ever Walmart.com exclusive movie bundle.  Gunpowder & Sky and Walmart.com’s exclusive package will include the Brett Haley fan favorite film, and the explosive Keegan DeWitt original soundtrack, produced by Milan Records. The special Blu-Ray/CD bundle will also include extras such as an exclusive performance, never-before-seen footage, behind-the-scenes footage, and more.

Hearts Beat Loud premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and screened as a special presentation at Austin’s Paramount Theater at SXSW. The film was released theatrically on June 8th, nabbing that weekend’s #1 per-screen average.

In Hearts Beat Loud Nick Offerman (“Parks and Recreation”, The Little Hours) and Kiersey Clemons (Dope) star as a father and daughter living in Red Hook, Brooklyn who become an unlikely songwriting duo in the last summer before she leaves for college. The star-studded cast also includes Ted Danson (“The Good Place” and “Fargo”), Sasha Lane (American Honey), Blythe Danner (Meet the Parents) and Toni Collette (Little Miss Sunshine, “United States of Tara”).

Hearts Beat Loud was produced by Park Pictures, Burn Later Productions and HK Productions with Houston King, Sam Bisbee and Sam Slater as producers. Franklin Carson, Paul Bernon, David Bernon, Theodora Dunlap, Jackie Kelman Bisbee, Lance Acord, Danny Rifkin, Frank Brenner and Nick Offerman executive produced.
