Printed Components

Instead of using petroleum based inks that contain carcinogens known to cause cancer or metallic/florescent inks that often contain ecologically harmful elements in their pigments, consider our green choices.

As an alternative to environmentally unfriendly UV coating – aqueous coating is water based and eco-friendly.

For print projects that cannot use recycled paper for quality reasons, FSC or SFI certified paper ensures that the material has been manufactured in an environmentally responsible manner, and promotes the responsible management of forests..

Finishing

Over the past few years, there had been attempts of incorporating biodegradable overwrap; however, it has not been popular to customers due to its dull and lower transparency finish. Thus, it is no longer available on the market.

Utilizing a Mylar tab offers a less waste-producing method for securing the disc into the packaging. Tabs can be clear and do not create a distraction from the printed package. In addition, tabs can be printed on bold stock to indicate special offers or opening instructions. This choice would generate a savings of up to $0.03 per piece.

Logistics

The best choice for green transit is to plan ahead in your schedule to make it possible to utilize ground versus air transportation. This simple choice makes a huge impact on the environment and the carbon footprint that we leave behind.
