Glossary "W"
Walk sequence The order in which a carrier delivers mail for a route. This order is required for most carrier route presort mail.
Waveform/Vectorscope Electronic device used to setup and monitor video signals during reproduction.
WebDVD A DVD that contains informational links to a website, that allows for either more information, updated information or possibly, encrypted access. Widescreen video image wider than conventional 4:3 aspect ratio. In DVD-Video, usually refers to 16:9 aspect ratio.
Window Dub A videotape that displays the timecode, (hours, minutes, seconds, frames) at the bottom of the screen. Window dubs are usually made from the original masters and have the same corresponding timecode as the master. Often used to pre-select scenes prior to editing.
WKG An abbreviation for “working” used on mail container labels that identifies the contents as mail that needs to be worked (sorted and distributed).
